Apprenticeship Opportunities
Apprenticeship is an age-old way of learning which has proven successful over the centuries. Apprenticeship can lead us into the future with a highly skilled diverse work force. In apprenticeship, you learn while you are employed. In addition, on-the-job training is supplemented by formal classes each year. Apprenticeship programs vary in length from one to five years according to the complexity of the occupation you select.

Currently Non-Union?

Created in 1959,
the NEWNI BCTC has helped its 13 affiliated building trades unions to make job sites safer, deliver apprenticeship and journey-level education, organize new workers, secure work, maintain the integrity and viability of the construction industry, support legislation and policies that benefit working families, and assist in securing improved wages, hours and working conditions through collective bargaining. The Council also performs research, outreach, and advocacy for our affiliated locals.
